Rudy Giuliani appointed as the cyber security advisor for the US President-elect, Donald Trump. However, security experts were not at all impressed on Giuliani’s consulting firm website, giulianisecurity.com, which lacks security front.Giuliani's site is scattered with security flaws and outdated software, making it extremely vulnerable to hacking. Giuliani has done security consultancy for various clients after he completed his term as mayor of New York City in 2001. A loyal supporter of Donald Trump, who was aiming for the position of Secretary of State - but was ultimately appointed cyber security advisor for the President-elect, tasked with putting together team experts in the field.Security professionals discovered that Giuliani’s website runs a version of Joomla! that is four years outdated and version of PHP released in 2013. It also has an expired SSL certificate and does not force users to use the secure HTTPS protocol, communication is insecure by default. The CMS’ login page and the server’s remote login system are public. Using the version information, able to identify a combined list of 41 publicly known vulnerabilities and 19 publicly available exploits making it far easier for an attacker to access them.Just visiting the website makes you understand how poorly it has been set up. However, the page is currently down. The site was taken down less than 24 hours after Trump announced Giuliani as his cybersecurity advisor. Of course, we do not know at this time if the site was taken down by hackers, or hacktivists with a DDoS attack, or by Giuliani Security itself as a defense measure before any attacks could occur.
