"On January 22, 2024, EquiLend identified a technical issue that placed portions of our systems offline," said an an EquiLend spokesperson.
“We immediately launched an investigation and have identified a cyber security incident involving unauthorized access to our systems. We took immediate steps to secure our systems and are working methodically to restore the involved services as quickly as possible."
EquiLend has announced its collaboration with external cybersecurity firms and other advisors to probe the attack and restore online services.
After the incident, the technology, data, and analytics company identified unauthorized access to its network and is currently restoring all impacted services.
EquiLend has enlisted the assistance of third-party experts to examine the security breach and accelerate the restoration efforts.
The company has not yet revealed whether any company or customer data was compromised or stolen during the incident.
