Researchers discovered New Sextortion scam claiming that attackers have access to your email address. Usually, attackers claim to have victims password which will be found from any past data breaches. In this new campaign, attackers claim to have access to victim email address and trick them by pretending to be sent from the same email address as the victim. The new scam was first spotted on the Netherlands by Daniël Verlaan and have already made around €40,000. [caption id="attachment_7148" align="alignnone" width="472"]

Source: Bleeping Computer[/caption] In the email, attackers claim your system was infected with a virus when the target visited adult website between certain time period. The attacker also claims they have access to your messages, social media accounts and messenger. In the email, it also mentions they have recorded you with your webcams. The victims are asked to transfer an amount of $800 to bitcoin wallet mentioned in the email and are also asked to pay within 48 hours of reading the message. In case if you have received this email, this is just a scam, and are advised to scan their computer with good antivirus software.
