Researchers have discovered a new version of “ Your Windows Has Been banned ” malware which demands users to pay $50 in Bitcoin to unlock their windows system. This malware was first discovered in 2016 where a message shows up on the lock screen as soon as the user starts their system saying that their MS windows installation has violated the terms and conditions of Microsoft and Windows. The users were asked to call technical support of Microsoft in the US which was not useful because the call was routed to unnecessary services and They were asked to pay $99.99 ransom amount for their new windows license. In the new version of this malware when the user boots their system a message appears which is stated below : “ Your Windows Has Been Banned and Microsoft has detected an unsolvable threat and this threat can harm you computer it has violated the terms of Windows and Microsoft. We, Microsft won’t gonna be responsible for any damage and bans to your computer“.
