Four online sports gear websites were hit by a cyberattack and credit card data belonging to 1,813,224 customers were stolen.

The affected websites are given below:

The law firm representing affected websites stated that on October 1st,2021, a cyberattack exposed personal information and credit card information including full CVV.

The websites detected the breach on October 15th,2021, and on November 29th, the company confirmed the breach, and the personal and financial information of the customer was stolen after the investigation.

The exposed information includes :

  • Full name
  • Financial account number
  • Credit card number (with CVV)
  • Debit card number (with CVV)
  • Website account password

“On October 15, 2021, Tackle Warehouse became aware of a potential data security incident. We immediately began an internal investigation and engaged an independent computer forensics firm to determine whether any personal information was affected in the incident.” 

“On November 6, 2021, the investigation determined that payment card information was obtained without authorization on October 1, 2021. On November 29, 2021, the affected persons were identified after a thorough search of digital evidence.” said in the notice to affected customers.

On December 16th, 2021, the websites sent notices to affected customers but no other details such as how the attack happened were not disclosed.

The websites also said they have informed concerned payment brands and law and enforcement authorities regarding the attack.

Affected customers are advised to monitor their bank and credit card statements for any suspicious transactions and report if any immediately.

As of now, the affected customers have not been offered any identity protection services by websites.
